Held in a truly inspiring and light-filled studio space near Byron Bay, award-winning local artist Shobhan Oliver is offering a variety of classes for artists and the artistically inclined. These twilight classes are intimate and in-depth - exploring the realms of experimentation, visualisation and life drawing techniques.
Offered 3 nights per week, the classes are specific in intention and are, in fact, an immersion in :
Mondays 6-8.30pm – EXPERIMENTATION $35
.00 Great for the start of the week, these 2.5 hour classes take in a broad scope of styles. Let your imagination run wild as students create in a music-filled space of trust and play! Students will have an artwork to take with them at the completion of the class. Mixed media/collage, pastels, acrylics, paper and canvas – ALL MATERIAL SUPPLIED. (Limited to 5 students)
Wednesdays 7-10pm – VISUALISATION $35
.00 -$55.00 Utilising techniques from Julie Cameron’s The Artist’s Way, students are encouraged to bring their memories, music and thoughts to the canvas. Shobhan specifically works in aligning particular modalities to mood and feeling. Students will have an artwork to take with them at the completion of the class. ALL MATERIALS SUPPLIED. (Limited to 5 students)
Saturdays 7-11pm – LIFE DRAWING $55.00 An artist’s alternative on a Saturday evening! Models will work through small, quick warm-up poses initially. However, these classes will focus primarily on long poses allowing for more in-depth work. Easels provided, but students will need to provide materials. To enliven the night, drinks and nibbles will be there to share. (Limited to 6 students)
